You will study all aspects of producing and managing projects — from identifying and developing story ideas, to packaging and pitching projects, to planning and managing shoots, as well as distribution and marketing strategies — through a mix of lectures, workshops, screenings and masterclasses with leading academics and industry professionals.

个人陈述：Please provide a personal statement in the form of a recorded video 'self tape' lasting no more than four minutes, with you directly answering these questions: What is it about producing for Film and Television that interests you? What filmmaking experience do you have working in production? What qualities do you possess that you feel would make you a good producer? Why do you want to come to study the MA with Producing at York? Your self-tape must be presented in one unedited piece to camera, and show your face clearly in a suitable, balanced mid-shot or medium close-up frame. The quality of the sound, camera or lighting is not important, provided we can hear and see you at all times, but you may wish to use this as an opportunity to demonstrate your production skills as part of this submission. Again, the quality of the edit is not important, but your answers to the questions asked are. Your self-tape can be provided as one of the weblinks alongside your project examples in the written portfolio PDF or Word document (see other application requirements), or you can provide a link to the self-tape in a separate PDF or Word document if preferred.

作品集：Ideally, you will have some experience of film, television or video production. However, we will consider applicants with experience in other performance arts or media, such as theatre or music, who have an interest in producing. In all cases we want to see examples of your media production work and details about your specific role in creating it. To accompany your application, send us a Word or PDF document with web links to your work, eg YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox etc, so we can view it directly. We cannot accept physical media. These sample projects can be in any genre, such as narrative, non-fiction or animation. They should demonstrate your talent and ambition. We prefer to see entire works but you may also include a link to a showreel, so long as you include a link to at least one entire project as well. If you have difficulties uploading please email us. In a separate Word or PDF document, describe your specific role in the creation of each project, eg producer, production manager or director. You should also indicate whether this was a project you initiated or one that was part of a group exercise. This will allow us to better assess your filmmaking skills and abilities.
